"Iannto"
Iannto would have definitely have been a 'King amongst Men' had he been human!! A real gentleman. He never actually lived with us, however we loved him as one of our family… we were lucky enough to have him to stay frequently.
He began his show career in New Zealand with a Best of Breed and continued in this vein through to attaining his New Zealand Championship Title (8 Challenges) from 8 Shows. He was awarded Best Dog and CC at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Anniversary Championship Show by world renowned Breeder/Judge Barbara Sawyer-Brown from USA.
He left behind in England several English Champion Rhodesian Ridgebacks, one of whom has been awarded RESERVE BEST IN SHOW at an Allbreeds Show in England and also went BEST IN SHOW at the Ridgeback of Great Britain Championship Show in 1992. Since then his Grandson has made RR history in England by being awarded BEST IN SHOW at the Three Counties Allbreeds Championship Show (12,000 entries) - the first RR to achieve a Best in Show award at an Allbreeds Championship Show in England.
The progeny that Iannto left behind in England have earned him "TOP RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK STUD DOG" in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 & 1996 in that country. In 1993 he also gained SECOND TOP STUD DOG overall - only beaten by a Doberman.
Iannto has sired 3 Nambala Litters.
The first to Ch Serena of Bindura (E Litter), second to Nambala Biskara (F Litter) and third to Ch Nambala Bizweni (I Litter).
