It was truly a fortunate day when an Australian Judge Ian Stirton told us of Sue and Eric Temlett and their beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch they had brought with them from South Africa. We trusted his judgement and ordered a bitch puppy from their soon to arrive litter to be born in Sydney, Australia - we count ourselves as very honoured indeed to have passed Sue's close scutinary. When the litter was 3 months old the very beautiful Lace winged her way to 'Nambala'.
Lace excelled in the show ring - she was the first Rhodesian Ridgeback in New Zealand to be awarded BEST IN SHOW at an Allbreeds Championship Show!! Her son, Bronson was the second.
She was also the first RR to gain dual Australian and New Zealand Championship titles - and she was only 16 months old when she did it!! She was awarded multiple Group Awards at Championship Shows on both sides of the Tasman - in Australia for 3 months and amassed 140 Challenge points along with multiple Class in Group awards.
Lace gained her NZ Championship title on her 1st Birthday and her Australian Championship title at 16 months.
Lace (affectionately known as 'Space Race') whelped 4 litters. The first to NZ Ch Bulawayo William (D litter), the second to Ch Nambala Alkari (G litter), the third to Ch Nambala Ewondo and the fourth litter was a repeat to Ch Nambala Alkari ... 6 boys!

Probably the most successful litter in the history of RRs in NZ was 'G litter' - 5 puppies in the litter = 5 NZ Champions NZ Ch Nambala Gboko: 1 Best in Show & 2 Class in show at Allbreeds Championship Shows NZ Ch Nambala Gombe: R/up Best in Show & 2 Class in show at Allbreeds Champ Show and R/up Best in Show Rhodesian Ridgeback Champ Show NZ Ch Nambala Guruwe: 53 Champ Shows for 47 Challenge Certificates, Best in Show RR Open Show NZ Ch Nambala Gimira: Multiple Group awards at Allbreed Cham Shows, Res Bitch at the RR Champ Show NZ Ch Nambala Gwandana: Mulitple Group awards at Allbreed Championship Shows
