"Burglar Bill"
William made his mark on the show scene from the first time he entered the ring, becoming a very consistent Group winner until his boy "Harry" took over. It was not unusual to hear the comment "Not the Rhodesian Ridgeback again!" when Group awards were being handed out and William had struck again. William excelled also in his other profession as a stud dog, producing 10 Champions from 20 puppies. All of his progeny that have been shown have excelled in the Show ring - in fact, William has been awarded "Best Progeny" at 4 of the 7 RR Championship Shows he attended. Not only was he awarded Reserve Best in Show at the 1990 Championship Show - but his children have taken Best in Show at the 1989, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1999, and Reserve Best in Show at the 1993, 1994 and 1995 RR Championship Shows also.
William gained his Championship title at 13 months.
There are many stories that could be told about William - he was a real character as his nick-name implies!!
William sired five litters. 2 to Ch Serena of Bindura (A & B litters), 1 to Invierno Cobritza (Aust) (see between C & D litters), 1 to Aust & NZ Ch Nkazimlo Umhle (Aust) (D litter). & 1 to Ch Nambala Elmina (Sarabi litter)
