NZ CHAMPION NAMBALA GBOKO

"Bronson"

"Bronson is my best pal; he is my constant companion and his happy, energetic personality makes going home each day a pleasure. During my most difficult times Bronson has kept me strong - I couldn't have done it without him - I can't thank Nambala enough for the opportunity to be owned by one of their wonderful Ridgebacks and for the support and encouragement they have given me over the years. I would, and do, recommend a "Nambala" Ridgeback to everyone I meet."

TELEVISION STAR

Bronson and Allison were part of a team on the NZ television series 'Tux Wonder Dogs' - Bronson was to do the retrieve and sprint. Normally Bronson will swim quite happily and even enjoys Body surfing….if the weather is sunny and the water warm. Unfortunately the weekend scheduled for filming was really cold with strong Northerlies and the water was freezing!!
First the retrieve… the decoy was thrown into the water… Bronson looked and walked away. Allison managed to throw him in the water… he climbed out… both were now soaking wet and the decoy was still in the water. The next attempt was even worse - for Allison. This time she tried a new tactic. She thought that if she got into the small row boat and started rowing he would follow her…. No chance!! Bronson realised that with Allison in the boat, she couldn't chase him, so he took the opportunity to visit all the spectators, meanwhile Allison was being blown down the lake by the gale force winds.
Her team-mates caught Bronson and threw him in - most undignified for a RR!! He then decided that Allison obviously needed help so he swam out to her and insisted on climbing into the boat almost tipping her out in the process. At this point the boat became stuck in the duckweed and the camera crew had to rescue them. Bronson was rushed away in a van while Allison was left to walk - when she arrived at the base, there was Bronson wrapped in a nice fluffy towel being pampered by the film crew… quite happy he was!! The sprint was just as hilarious. Bronson was more interested in playing with the dog he was supposed to be racing against than winning. Both races he flew out from the start - definitely no doubt he was going to be first over the line - but then noticing that the other dog was slipping behind, he stopped and waited for the other dog to catch up!! HE LOST THE RACE!

As you can probably tell, Bronson is a real character, charming all he meets with his amazing sense of humour. Both Bronson and Paige enjoy holidaying at Nambala when Allison and Dan travel overseas or south to go snow boarding.
